  • GC2, I have FSX should I also get TGC

I put my first sim together after Christmas so I am really new to all of this. I ended up buying the Black Friday gc2/hmt/fsx 2018 deal. I am looking for advice on TGC and TGC 2019.

For the users that have both FSX and TGC, which one do you play the most and why. Are you using TGC for just online play or do you use it when you have friends over. I keep reading all of the design your own course posts and it looks like it would be fun to create my local course. If I was going to buy TGC, should I before 2019 is out. Do you think there will be a price increase once 2019 is live. I don't know how they compare as far as game play.

Pros I can see with TGC-
Tons of courses with no charge (I would love to play Pebble so that alone would cover half the cost)
online play (not sure if I would use this but would try it out)
The chance to build my home course for practice

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

I tried to play nine lakes yesterday on FSX but once you get around the greens it just fills strange. When TGC 2019 is available that software looks really good. I currently use other software until TGC 2019 comes out which I will be trying out for sure. I have played TGC and like it much better then FSX courses. FSX graphics look better but the game play of TGC seems less clumsy.

I really enjoy playing rounds on FSX but I can only compare playing outside. The screenshots of TGC 2019 look great

The other thing with buying FSX courses the price is crazy. TGC has so many course options and playing the tour for many is a lot of fun. If you buy TGC now you will get the free upgrade to 2019 or just email Protee to confirm that.

I have both and would recommend TGC if you have any desire to play rounds of golf. I use FSX when I want to practice or work on my swing, but pretty much only play rounds on TGC. Plus TGC has online tournaments which are really fun. And to top it all off, Protee's support and general business practice is wonderful, especially when compared to Foresight.

I have TGC, FSX and TGC2019. The big thing is the courses. There's so many great courses in TGC and 19. Like so many. I prefer the graphics too. Having said that, FSX is extremely feature rich. Given how cheap TGC is compared to FSX, it's hard to not have both.

I have the GC2 and FSX 2018, I also have TGC due the the course availability in it, and I have pre-ordered TGC 2019, with some of the things that are going on now I look forward to seeing some really lifelike real courses in TGC 2019.

Should I go ahead and order it now or wait until 2019 is ready? It sounds like it plays as good or better than fsx.

Order it now and you'll have both software's.

Which version is required to be compatible with GC2? (Protee interface, GSA Golf, Uneekor, Other)
Also, what is the difference between the "TGC 2019 + TGC simulator bundle" and just the "TGC simulator software" on its own. Theres a £168 price difference on the golf simulator store website.
                    Many thanks

GSA golf and Uneekor is hardware so not compatible with GC2

You’ll want tgc2019 by itself most likely. The bundle
includes the older version but unless you want to play on the old tour, which is still supported, then just get TGC19 on its own, which also has a supported Tour.

The Protee interface is needed but that’s free and Protee will send you a link to download when you purchase.

None of the FSX software etc is needed to run TGC

GC2 to GSX, GSX to ProTee interface, ProTee interface to TGC. Software is included with purchase of TGC
