    Those of you that upgraded from a Skytrak...

    Did horizontal launch angle improve?

    I love my skytrak, but Im starting to get annoyed with horizontal launch angle issues. +/- 2degrees(AT LEAST) is a lot on longer clubs.
    And especially the occasional miss-read(10+ degrees) is just so frustrating. How often does the GC2 give obviously wrong HLA(you see the ball hit the middle of the screen, and it shows 3 or 4 degrees left).
    And how often does the GC2(if ever) give you close to the middle of the screen and GC2 gives you a 10+degree HLA?

    As far as ball speed, spin, vertical launch angle, i love skytrak. But the horizontal launch angle is absolutely killing me and if GC2 makes significant improvement in that area, it might finally push me over the edge to upgrade.

      GC2 to me is way better at the HLA. That can be both good and bad. On skytrak, I would hit the screen straight on and it would show it starting at an angle. However, I would also hit both L and R of the centerline and skytrak would show straight. For me the GC2 has gotten rid of that, if i hit left, it starts left, hit right, it starts right.

      Other benefits, much larger FOV, shot to show time.
      Negatives, the ST software, I really like what they have and they are always improving.

          Everything that wbond said ....mirrors my experience exactly, but I was very happy with Skytrak , I loved their customer ethos and I admire how they maintain the connection with the users .
          Foresight are abysmal to deal with .... the hardware is good no question ...but everything else is so below standard I question the value of spending what was for me in UK 6+ times what the Skytrak cost...... it's a bit different if you are US based and can buy at US prices but in Europe where I am Skytrak is amazing value. I took the leap to GC2 /HMT and sold my Skytrak but if it was possible I wouldn't do it again. Foresight were horrible to deal with , Skytrak were faultless. The margin between the two systems is definitely not justifiable for the average home user,
