    GC2 Software

Greetings...I am looking at a used GC2 that the seller says does not come with software. Is it possible to use with TGC without having Foresight's software? And would it matter where you got TGC? For example, Protee has TGC for $960, while Skytrak's website has it for $750. Could I get TGC from Skytrak, or will that only work if I have a skytrak? Thanks

You do not need foresights software for TGC to work. Pretty certain you must buy the software from protee. Skytrak has separate payment terms which is why Skytrak users have to go through them for TGC.

Yes. Foresight software purchase is not required for any 3rd party sim integration. Firmware updates and Windows drivers are freely available for download from Foresight's web site.

I had tgc with my skytrak. Protee was so kind as to let me transfer my tgc license over to my gc2. Im not sure if that is something that will continue or not.

I can confirm, if you plan to use TGC with your GC2 you have to buy TGC from Protee, you can not buy it from Skytrak if you do not currently have a Skytrak device. In order to upgrade from Skytrak TGC to Protee TGC you need to provide a Skytrak serial number. Skytrak has it's own exclusive interface with TGC so GC2 will not work unless you upgrade through Protee.

Thank you for the responses. Unfortunately the unit sold to someone else, so will have to keep looking.

Foresight has a sale going now for the Quad. Might try and call a rep to see if you can get a deal on a GC2. Even it's a little more getting from Foresight, you get the unit registered with them for free (so to speak). Normally that's $500 if you purchase somewhere else.

No real benefit........unless you need a repair. They won't even look at it if its not registered .
