Advice for buying used gc2

I'm considering buying a gc2 across country and having it shipped to me. Of course that's a big purchase and I would prefer to not get screwed. I do have pics with the serial number. The seller offered to meet me at a driving range, not knowing I was out of town. That's promising. Does anyone have any tips for handling the purchase? What about an escrow service? How would I know if its stolen? I know using paypal ads protection. If I'm not mistaken, Paypal is very buyer friendly when it comes to purchases. I've heard sellers complain about Paypal for the same reason. Any thoughts or advise? Thanks

PayPal is buyer friendly as you said. I would ask to do a video call with FaceTime or Skype to see it working at a driving range. Or at a minimum have the seller hit some putts. If it works for putting you should be good to go.

I had the same worries. Foresight refurb 5400 licensed to you. So$500 licensing included in price. Straight from foresight.

I was lucky enough I knew the person from the forum and he was 2 hours away. I just drove over hit a few shots and picked it up. Before that I tried in minneapolis but the fella wouldn't drive to a location for a friend to check it out and wouldn't let a friend pick it up with paypal transaction. Not a lot of trust in that transaction so I walked.

That's a great idea. I'll definitely have him at least hit some putts. That will also put a face with the transaction if something should go sideways.

I'm in the same boat. The fact that he initially offered to meet does help, but that's a lot of money and a lot of trust to give someone you don't know. Paypal seems to offer protection but I'm still wary.

you can go with escrow.com. They are a little more expensive than paypal but they are a middle man. Buyer sends money, seller sends product. Escrow will only release the money to the seller once the buyer approves the item.
