Purchasing used GC2

Bought a Skytrak recently and decided to return due to inaccuracies. Not every shot was off but I had a high enough percentage that would always make me consider the reliability of the device which has led me to consider purchasing a used GC2. A few questions I am pondering:
-Checking to see if anyone who has purchased used GC2 and foregone registering the device with Foresight. If so, can you still purchase some other sim software (ie TGC 19) and play or does the unit restrict this until you register with foresight?
-Is there a way to confirm the number of shots a device has registered before purchasing and do these units start experiencing issues after years of play?
-Also, do most use a 3rd party to handle the transaction to eliminate scams?
-GC2s seem pretty reliable indoor from my research, how does accuracy compare outdoors on grass?

Buyer beware when buying anything but people have done well buying used GC2’s. If using third party software paying any registration fee isn’t necessary. Unfortunately there is no way to see the number of shots. The high wearing part is the flash. Changeable. Bluetooth and Battery is also vulnerable. Also changeable but a little more complicated. Third parties make it safer. PayPal is good. It is as accurate outside as inside.

Bluetooth is changeable? How is that accomplished?

Either you're really good with electronics or you'd have to get Foresight to repair it.
