Has anyone had issues with the lie penalty in 2018 FSX? I don't get any rough penalty. Every time it shows flyer chance. I don't even know what that means. Anyone has same problem and know how to solve it?

The penalties for rough vary by course. Some will have flier chance - so you have a chance of getting a flier ( less spin on the ball ) so it will likely sail and roll. Others have lie penalties which is about 10% and there is also severe lie penalties which is like 50%. If you are in the sand it is always about 40%. -

It seems they kinda follow the type of rough you'd find on particular courses. Flyers out of lighter rough is very common. It takes really super heavy or thick rough to impact distance with a penalty. On my site I have started noting which penalty types and levels the courses have but it is by no means complete. Some of the better done courses will have flier chance in first cut and lie penalty in second cut which is probably the best. These are rare though.Comment
