Hi Guys. New to the forum. I'm thinking about purchasing a used GC2 and HMT for my sim room.

My question is about the applications. I see that Foresight offers two apps. Will I need both or is only one recommended? Interested to hear your thoughts on them.

I just pulled the trigger on the same thing. My understanding is you don't need either FR1 or FSX if you're satisfied with just using the free app. However, if you want to play courses or use the different features you will have to purchase the software. FSX is the newer version and obviously will be more expensive. I would recommend trying to buy the software from someone on here or Discord. It seems like most versions of FR1 and FSX are married to an USB dongle. Foresight did offer packages where FSX was included in a PC tower. I think the PC towers are a little harder to come by though.
