  • Foresight GC2 not working - bluetooth issue?

Hi everyone. So yet again I have this issue with the bluetooth. It won't show connected in the input in GSX. I know from experience to look at the bluetooth device and sure enough there's an error explanation point over it. So I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it and it didn't help. I'm getting the same exact error. It worked fine yesterday by the way. I think, though I'm not sure, that perhaps there was a Windows 10 update that screwed it up. But I'm not sure. My iphone picks up the Foresight bluetooth with no problem so I can't figure out why my computer can't. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you using internal bluetooth or a dongle? I had that issue with my internal BT (intel driver) and could never solve it. I disables that device and went with a dongle that had its own driver. Problem solved. Been working like a champ since.

I've been using a dongle (successfully) since installing the system a few years ago. Asus bluetooth device. I have it on the end of an extension cord. Always worked (including yesterday). Now suddenly I'm getting the dreaded explanation point warning over it when I check in the Device Manager.

Be sure to disable your internal BT if you have it. It might have been turned on by a Windows update. Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Asus driver. Finally, try moving it to another USB port. Good Luck. That's all I got.

Orangeman I appreciate the effort. I'll check and see if some other BT is enabled. Don't think so and if it were I don't think I'd have that dumb explanation point thing anyway. I did the uninstall/reinstall, no luck. Do you know how to change ports on the Asus BT? I had tried that too but couldn't figure it out.

I should have been clearer. I meant the physical port on your computer. Literally plug it in a different spot. Very unlikely it will help, but worth a shot.

I had to switch to a different usb slot on my pc the other day. It fixed my problem.

See if something else sees the GC2. Say a phone or laptop. That way you'll know if it's the GC2.
