GC2 Elevated Platform

Has anyone got the official Foresight GC2 Elevated Platform?

I got one recently... and am not sure I'm using it right!
If I put the GC2 on it so that it sits stable, the GC2 is a little bit closed - and doesn't recognise shots.
If I put the GC2 on it wide open, it feels a bit unstable!

I'm in the UK and Foresight had to import it from, as it's not a standard piece of kit. They can't tell me how it's supposed to sit, as they've never seen one before. Foresight USA don't seem to be very forthcoming with information.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me - or show me a picture of how it's "supposed" to sit on the stand?!

Was looking into getting one of these and wondering how you made out? Do you recommend it?

I saw this in person but coming from Foresight person, this looks like this was mainly manufactured for commercial places to bolt it down onto the ground. And it's made in steel and it's very rigid, meaning once you put your GC2 on, it'll either leave a scratch on the unit or will be very hard to put it in and out. Just my two cents.

I just put my GC2 on a book. Works great, costs less.

Yeah, that’s what I’m doing now... was just curious if the platform was worth it or not, any hidden advantage?

Self levelling device raised an inch. Sounds like the book is fine.

The advantage for me, is that I have the ‘raised platform’ attached onto a board. If I put the board square with my hitting mat (pressed against the edge), my GC2 is now in the correct position / alignment for use.

I remove my GC2 after almost every use, so re-aligning each time I go to use it would be a pain in the ass. This means it takes me about a minute to setup.

The elevated platform seems to work ok, but it’s still not clear how the GC2 is actually meant to sit on it.
I put it on how I ‘think’ it should go... but it never feels 100% stable... in that you could almost rock it back and forth if you wanted.
