I have got my HMT for the GC2 recently. The combo was placed on my hard mat and have practiced for hours. I found my HMT results show that most of my impact position on the clubface all locates at the sole part, even I felt that shot was a solid contact, HMT told me that impact was still at the sole just below the sweet point. So, I am thinking to replace a better turf mat, softer, like real grass turf mat. It possibly would let the club dig into the turf and have the feeling of creating a divot on the real grass. Any thoughts? thanks.
Would hard turf mat affect the impact location?

Yes, good advice. I am ordering some impact tapes to check if the HMT works properly.Originally posted by mmlincon View PostMost likely sticker placement but you could be getting some club bounce off the hard turf. Just put some masking tape on your face and hit a ball to see. Don't cover the fiducials, just in the center to confirm what the HMT is reporting.
High-quality turf mat is expensive indeed......

Just put a piece of masking tape or hairspray on the face. Same thing.Originally posted by 1191126 View Post

Many factors affect club data in general. Here is a good read https://www.researchgate.net/publica...aunch_monitors

Anyone ever try footpowder spray ?
I've used it on the range but am a little leery of it on the sim. Dont want to leave any marks on the screen.

Is your GC2 in a case? I figured that I was getting some wonky face impact locations. I took the GC2 out of the protective case and it appears to be more kosher now. I have the wood/plexiglass protective case found on eBay. Even though it claims to be conducive to HMT I think the cameras are obstructed a bit.

Nope, I did not put it in the case, though I have a case from foresight.Originally posted by cmckelvmi View PostIs your GC2 in a case? I figured that I was getting some wonky face impact locations. Probably, I found a reason why HMT might read data towards the bottom of the club face. I exactly followed that instruction of HMT to attach stickers, which are the middle two, to the sixth line from the bottom, however, my jpx919 club has less grooves than the one in the instruction. Those two middle stickers have now been moved down towards a bit, locating at the middle position of lower club face. The HMT reading seems better now! This is my two cents
