Reshape for fsx 2018

For those interested I have Reshade working in FSX 2018.

I discovered reshade when browsing the TGC 2019 forum. It’s a third party utility that adds significant graphical enhancements to games. I have the Optoma WU515tst projector and a premium Carl’s screen and its increased my enjoyment significantly.

If folks are interested I can add more detail about the program and my settings currently, which I have only just started to play with.

But I would encourage folks to try it on their setups, it could add to the experience.

Really want that projector, mainly for the lens shift so I can place it right of the hitting area, do you use the lens shift option?

Yes I have to use the lens shift as my hitting area is significantly off center. It works really well with no apparent impact on image quality.

i am going to take some high res photos today re: Reshade. The more I play with it the more impressed I am. I have a dual monitor setup, projector and 4K monitor and that caused me some issues but I figured it out.

Funny, I started playing with this a bit as well. Care to share your settings? I only tried a couple different filters as I didn't have a whole lot of time to mess with it.

I am having trouble getting Reshade working in FSX 2018 but managed to get it working in TGC19. Could someone clarify which directory path I need to point Reshade at for FSX2018 please?

Not too tech savvy over here, but when you download reshade, do you run, or do you save it to the folder with fsx.exe? Also, is the folder which contains fsx.exe usually under the C/programs86/Foresight components? Finally, what settings are optimal.

After trying this with desktop tgc2019, have to say this is quite impressive...see trees and people.

Without Reshade effects..




Now With very simple effects... 'fake HDR' and 'adaptivesharpen' both at default settings.
