  • Reshade FSX 2018 update with photos

I continue to play with reshade for FSX 2018. The attached will hopefully show you some of the potential I am experiencing.

Reshade has a lot of options and ordering effects for example can make a big difference.

I intend to do a deep dive this weekend when I have some time and will write up a short tutorial; from download to settings, at least for my projector and setup.

The dual monitor setup can be a bit of a nightmare!

Anyhow more to follow but I would encourage you to download and start playing, the more of us trying out the various options will hopefully get us to a final outcome sooner.

Played with colourfullness and fakeHDR they seem to improve the detailing. On my projector the custom skills challenge list is really hard to read and inside 6ft the rings bleed a bit into one so will keep tweaking, nice until though.

I used all the same besides ambient light & mode 1. Similar to this video here. Havent played much with it but going through n clicking some. Definitely does help tho & worth doing to make it much more vivid and not as dull.

Have you installed reshape? It needs to be in the directory with the FSX.exe file. Then it should load when you open fsx. You know it’s working as you will get a message at top of screen as fax loads. You then open up the reshape settings by using home key. I changed mine so it’s shift and F2.

Is there a consensus as of yet on what the ideal settings are for reshade? Very interested!
