    FSX2018 Auto Putting

I’m not a fan of putting on simulators but the auto putting and partial strokes applied in FSX2018 isn’t my thing. Has anyone figured out a way to auto putt but use actual whole shots for scoring. Trackman seems to have this figured out

I agree the fractional putting gimmies is so stupid. You hit a chip to 1 foot it gives you 1.01! They should have a user driven option where you get to edit for course and difficulty for example anything inside 2 feet is a one putt, between 2 and 30 feet is a two putt and anything over that a three putt.

You could manually enter a putt amount based on the above distances.

Those options still leave a lot to be desired. I’ve enjoyed the trackman auto option where they use stats to determine the likelihood of a 1,2 or 3 putt based on percentages from the given distance from the hole.

You can overwrite the "putts gained" text file found in the Foresight Sports Experience folder. Whatever values you enter for each distance and save will be used for scoring when used auto putt.

I tried to edit the putting file, and it seemed to accept the edits but did not use when playing? How did you do it?

I figured it out, you have to use three decimal places or the file does not load properly.
