Help setting up the GC2 for practice

About a year ago I bought a used GC2 from an individual. I finally got my area ready and am getting things set up. I have been using the CG2 for hitting balls but would like to get the computer set up. Do I need to purchase anything from Forsight to get going? I know if I want courses I have to purchase those, but I would just like to hit balls on the "range". Can I do that without purchasing more software? I'm pretty new at it so any help is appreciated.

There’s a free app from foresight you can use with the GC2. That will make you happy for an hour. Then you can buy a sim software. TGC or FSX. Prices are different. I have both. Both have merits but your quest on Free will disappoint.

I do not have any of those programs. Is the free forsight app just a driving range? How would I go about getting that?

The free ap is called FSPerformance and has an abundance of data, strangely though it only shows carry and not total distance. Its a great ap if rather bland. I have the GC2 with HMT and used it for many an hour.

I invested in TCG2019 and like it but the driving range option is very poor and there is some data from the GC2 and some data that TCG calculates that can lead to confusion...GC2 is always correct.

This week I took the stomach churning decision of giving more money to Foresight and bought FSX2018. Buy once , cry once I think they say! You guys in the states have it much cheaper ! It hurts to pay such a lot for software.
With a free upgrade on the horizon for FSX2020 I thought I would keep piling it in.

I found an app for FSPerformance but is appeared to be only supported on Apple products. Is that correct? I am probably going to have to break down and purchase the software. Can you tell me where I could purchase that, and what type of cost I will be looking at?

Before dropping $3,000 on FSX 2018 you can purchase the older FSX second hand at a much cheaper price. When ready you can then upgrade to FSX 2018 for $700. PM me if you are interested in buying an original FSX license from me.
          Working...
