FR1 Software - Dongle Protection Error - DinkeyAdd

I purchased the FR1 software with a green security dongle; however, when attempting to run the software am getting the following error msg:
Protection Error: The dongle detected has a different model to those specified in DinkeyAdd.

How can this error be resolved? Could I have installed the software incorrectly to be receiving this error msg? I installed the file: ForesightSetup v1.300.exe. Attached is the list of software received, the protection error, and the dongle installed.

If you did not already reload the firmware to the GC2 and the drivers listed in your post. If that doesn't work send me a PM with your email address and I'll hook you up with the complete software I am using so you can eliminate that as a source of your problem. If that doesn't fix it I have no idea other then something went wrong inside the dongle.

Thanks very much for the offer! I also have another source for FR1 separate from the USB that was provided in my purchase that I can utilize first; however, who knows and I may reach out in the future if other resolution attempts fail.

I've seen that error message if I have a security dongle for another program plugged into the computer at the same time the FR1 dongle is connected. Disconnect all USB drives and dongles and try to start FR1. You should get a protection error: no dongles detected. Insert the FR1 dongle and again and it should start.

Thanks for this troubleshooting tip. I did copy all software to my desktop and disconnected the original USB; other than that, the dongle and peripherals were the only things connected via USB. I'll try again to reinstall the software from the hard drive, and disconnect all other items except the dongle.

I did reach out to Foresight, and they did offer to send a replacement for my damaged dongle for a Ulysses S. Grant. I believe I'll go down that route, to have a new/working piece of hardware to remove all questions.
