GC2 - Battery discharging process??

Just bought the GC2 (New from Foresight) about 6 weeks ago for personal use but got myself injured so I haven't used it much. But, couple of times I did use it, it was so awesome! I know so much about my swing, balls and different shaft specs.

The manual said to discharge and recharge every month, so since I haven't use it much, how do you 'completely discharge' the unit? Just leave it on until battery drains?

I had bought a used unit where it had always been plugged in and thus the battery was not holding much of a charge. I fully charged it and left it on til it shut down which was only an hour or so. Charged again and repeated with letting unit just run down while not in use and just on, and it got better. I am not quite sure how long the battery will go now while being used but it has gotten better.

So I would think that leaving the unit just on, will discharge it but will take longer as no flash is being used and I assume the flash is the big part of power use.

Thank you very much for you info. I did tried once to let it run down and when I turned it back on after auto shutdown, GC2 stayed on long enough (a few seconds) to check the battery power and it was 5.5V. So, I was thinking that it will never fully discharge and always hold 5.5V when it auto shutdown. The Foresight said to fully-discharge but didn't say how to do it.

I tried to look online but not much luck.

Letting it run down until auto shut off is their definition of fully discharged. You don't actually want a battery to get fully drained... Think mostly drained.
