Newbie FSX2018 question on target aim point

New GCQ and FSX18 owner. Have not upgraded to 2020 yet.

Playing my first round of virtual golf and while I appreciate that each shot re-aligns for a straight away shot. But let’s say my 2nd shot calls for 265y shot carrying water 250y but I don’t have that shot (don’t judge me pls). So I can hit a layup to near side of water or if I can change my aim point to be 20y right or left of target line, I can play a 185-200y shot that gets me to a nice pitch on.

But I could not figure out how to tell FSX software to not aim at the pin. I could obviously shift my IRL target line but my hitting space is narrow.

How do I realign my aim point in the software?

you can click on the mini map or simply use the left or right arrow keys to change your line

Thanks. I was clicking all over last night but I must have not had mini map on screen.

Get the mini map on the right side of the screen. Use the mouse there to click where you want to aim. Very hard to play the game without doing that. (As you have seen!)
