    Standard FSX Courses

    Hey Everyone,

I am looking to add a couple standard courses to my library. If you wouldn’t mind, please send me some of your favorites as there are too many to just randomly choose from.

    Thank you.

Very interested in everyone’s top 10 as well. Looking forward to seeing the results.

I bought a 10 pack for a deal at one point last year, the ones I chose after a bit or reading and reviewing were:

      Coeur D’A
      Wentworth West (quite good imo)
      Big Sur
      Spring City Mountain
      Olazabal Mission Hills
      Doral Blue Monster
      Egypt Valley
      Merion
      Kingsbarns
Heron Bay (pretty average this one, if I recall correctly)

Some are better than others, but have been happy enough will all of them for standard courses.

        I have about 15 courses, here’s my list(s)

like and usually play Oakmont, pelican Hill, Quarry a giants ridge, hidden shoals, castle stewart, and Olympic

coyrses I’ve bought and rarely play are mainly Troon and Marion...they just don’t seem to translate for me.

My faves from the version 2.0 series (I do not have nearly all) are Coeur d'Alene, Castle Stuart, Kingsbarns, Pebble Beach, Valderrama (very hard -- small slopey greens), and Chicago Highlands (brutally long but fun layout).

I just played Carnoustie 3.0 and it is excellent, much improved from the 2.0 version. Still a very hard golf course but that's how it is in real life.
