  • Please Help! GC2 with Fiberbuilt 7x4 mat

I’ve set up a nice little sim room in my garage with the Fiberbuilt mat, GC2 and Pro Net. After setting everything up, I proceeded with my 7 iron and got back odd numbers, specifically the distance. It had a carry of 140-150, with a spin rate of 7500. I got outside and get a carry of 175 with the 7 iron. Now I’ve heard of the indooor swing vs the outdoor swing, but I’m certain it’s not that. I took the entire mat outside and hit 5 balls off the ground at a 175 target and 5 off the mat. All carried to the target and the gc2 picked that up (when hitting of the ground) but when using the mat, it said 150. Is there anything I can do or does this mat give higher spin rates which effects the carry distance?

Just “flushed” my driver iron, ball speed 135 and it said it went 165 yards.......

Is your GC2 level with the hitting mat?

It’s on the hitting mat. Also I thought the gc2 levels itself, no?

If it is on the mat you are hitting off of, is it moving when you hit? Try putting it next to the mat at the same height so it doesn't move.

I have heard that if the mat shifts while hitting it can give you odd readings. Maybe take it off the mat and see if you get the same results. I believe it is auto leveling. however, I was referring to making sure the Morton of the GC2 is level with the hitting area. Not sitting below or too far above. If it’s on the same mat, that isn’t an issue... I would try taking it off the mat maybe and see what happens.
