Useful tip to adjust FSX driving range distance

I don’t know if everybody knows this already but I just leaned about it recently and decided to share. When playing on the FSX range, FSX has bunch of predefined distances you can choose from. If you want to hit from an exact distance, you can point your cursor on the mini map, find a distance you like and right click. This helps you pinpoint the location you want to hit from. I think this is very useful, especially when practicing wedges.

LOL. It's funny you bring this up, I've had my Quad for approximately a year now. I just noticed a few weeks ago you could do this as well.

Yes, great for wedges. You can also do wedges and whatever you want using a course. Just you want to hit the approach shot on Pebble Beach 18 from however many yards out... you can do the same thing. Hit Practice, then select the course, then select the hole, and on the minimap, go to where you want to hit from. You can also putt this way...pick the green you want to putt, like PB 8!

when doing putts, you can change all your settings to show data in feet to make it better.

Good point. I never practice on the course though. Lol
