  • FSX2020 and swing cameras ????

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I could not find an answer......

I thought I read that people were having trouble with their swing cameras frame rates being severeally reduced with the 2020 upgrade. have two of the cheap ones and I really don't want to get any slower or lower quality image.

Has this been addressed, or is it not an issue ??

I have 2 Kayeton 120 FPS cameras working in FSX2018 and now FSX2020. I did not see any issue so I don't believe its impacting everyone.

I have 2 of these. Image is low resolution but I do get about 100fps. Are you (or anyone else) getting better results at this, or close to price point ??

I wrote earlier that my frame rate was down to 10fps after the FSX2020 upgrade. Also there was video stuttering that made it unplayable, and I went back. The issue was memory. I have an i7-7700 which is fine with Nividia 1060/3GB but only 16GB of memory in the computer. Upgrading to 32GB from 16GB made all of FSX2020 work just fine, including the video camera frame rates.

I often wonder how many of the issues with software are caused by aging or undersized computer programs. I always treat min specifications as just that - the "Bare-Minimum" to run the software. Any future upgrades or changes can affect the available headroom.

          My two cents.
