I purchased a GC2 and FR1 w/15 courses from a member on this board. I have a few questions I was hoping somebody could help me with:

1) If I do the FSX 2020 upgrade do I lose my 15 courses? I called Foresight and spoke to a Sales Rep and he said no, but he didn't seem to know what he was talking about
2) I have my eye on E6 Connect. If I get that from Foresight, do I need to have FSX or could I just keep FR1 and then get E6 when it is available?
3) Is there another way to get E6 Connect, not through Foresight? Seems like I have read forum members saying they are using it somehow through the Pro-Tee interface.

From what I understand, answers are:

1 - No, you will keep your courses but to upgrade you normally have to pay the account transfer fee and upgrade fee (usually $500 each)

2 - Everything I’ve read says you have to hold an FSX license to utilise the e6 access option, with the e6 software purchased through Foresight.

3 - GC2 can access other sim packages, so yes pretty sure you can use e6 through the ProTee interface. I have also seen TGC2019 being used through ProTee interface with GCQuad.

The fr1 courses are not transferable, they are old tech versions. You will start with 5 free courses that’s it, but still a bargain at $500, if you didn’t pay that much for fr1.

Oh right, I did read here that FR1 was ported over from some golf software, so that sort of makes sense.

I transferred over to FSX 2020 from fr1 and I only got one course. Where can you get 5 courses?

You can d/l the other four at https://www.foresightsports.com/fsx2020updates

Teton Pines is built in, Linkfield, Willowcrest, Blue Bayou and Broken Tree have to be installed.

You may need these activated against your account by Foresight, not sure, but they are included with the FSX2020 license.
