    FSX2020 - Video playback questions

    Is there a way to review move frame by frame in the videos? The only way i can currently do that is after the session, to go full screen on my computer.

    Also, is it possible to always have the camera view up on a secondary screen so i can instantly review etc? I already have it showing the club data after the shot, but it goes away after X time and you can't really analyze the data. I'm trying my best to get to get a golftec system so i can instantly review shots etc. Any other suggestions on how I can accomplish something like that?

      Three ways in which I am familiar:
      1) after shot data and video starts, can then play around with pause, frame by frame, drawing, etc.
      2) if did not get to PC quick enough to play around with video . . . after video ends, and before next shot, hit the icon with the 3 hill like symbols and this will take you to the video of your last shot
      3) sign into your account on PC and you can watch all video from sessions. However you can not do frame by frame, pause, or drawing - just view videos.

          You can't move frame by frame in the analysis window unless i'm missing some secret hotkeys You basically have to pause, rewind from start, and try pausing again to catch the frame you want etc..

              In the video analysis window you have the video navigation buttons.. (rewind, pause, play, frame-by-frame). That last button on the right looks like a forward button and you keep clicking it to advance each frame.

              Oh wow... Thats horrible UX... i thought that was just forward till end not frame by frame! ... Thanks!

                      It needs a complete re-design and brought up to current standards of how even basic iPhone swing capture,video playback and drawing tools offer.

                          I gave up with the FSX camera setup and went swing catalyst and though they don't recommend running it with FSX I find its fine. Now I would say i built a custom rig for my simulator using a server board, dual xeon processors, 64Gb RAM and a high end Nvidia Quadro card.

                          But its a great setup I have the data on the projector screen and swing catalyst on a 55 inch monitor. It takes about 30 seconds to render the videos from the camera. I really only use it when using the range not when playing a course.

                              What he said ....... FSX 2020 is not great in a technical sense, Foresight Sports Top Exec's at the 2020 PGA show promised to deliver proper fitting tools that would be FOC to existing owners of their product . In the meantime companies such as Uneekor actually are delivering at a much lower price point. I am considering ditching Foresight for a number of reasons, including failed /delayed promises / software release issues/general pricing and buying of their product. They need to re-engineer a large part of their business to stay relevant in these times.

                                  Don't be so hard on Foresight! In fairness to them, they were busy working on their golf cart.

                                      I'd rather they didn't copy anything from Apple.
