    Perspex screen/protector for GCQ

Was thinking of putting a sheet of perspex in front of the GCQ to protect it from stray balls...and children.

Anyone know if perspex will distort the infrared and cameras?

Isn't protection built in? I've never even seen a third party case but lots for GC2's

It is for golf balls - machine seems tough - but 3 and 5 year olds swinging kid size irons make me nervous!

I can always just buy a sheet and test it before making a proper box, just wouldn’t bother if someone had tried before me and said it’s no good.

Yea, I bet a golf ball will destroy it, but a golf ball will NOT hurt your quad (don’t ask how I know).

My guess is that it would hinder the operation of the cameras, but I have not tried it (and, I also have kids, a bit older, who are not allowed to use the sim until they can show me they can hit the ball every time -- hopefully soon). Please report back if you try it with success!

To be fair, they have used it a couple of times, and my youngest did rocket one straight off the GCQ a couple of months ago. It did no harm. The thing is pretty solid, and balls that go off in that direction aren't moving very fast.
