What green speed do you usually use in FSX?

Have been using 10 on the stimpmeter and decided to try 13 at Congressional today. Uphill and flat putts weren't bad but anything more than 6" downhill were hard to stop.

What speed do you usually use?

I have it right in the middle of the slider bar. Much faster than that and some downhillers become impossible to stop, which I hate.

I guess on tour the players have to deal with those downhillers that are almost impossible to stop, so they know where NOT to leave their putts on each hole.
When my sim is done, I will be leaving the setting somewhere near the middle, but at some point want to start planning where to land on the green and not just hitting the green anywhere

Another issue with going too fast is you can get in spots where you just want to barely touch the ball to start it moving on a steep downhiller. But for GCQ to register it as a putt you have to give it a decent tap. Even with the green speed slider at half, I have been in frustrating situations on Pebble and Valderrama where I had to putt it way harder than I wanted to in order for the system to register it as a stroke. I am not sure what the fix for this would be -- you don't want the sensitivity too high or it will start counting a shot when the ball falls off the tee or just slightly moves.

To me, putting in FSX is tolerable at best. It's not realistic enough to be something I would use as practice or a game improver. I just want it to be playable. Too fast greens would get unplayable, at least for me.

Agreed. Pelican Hill & Asiana are both unplayable in FSX for this reason. Frustrating because i’m E6 their two of the best tracks .

The result is we just avoid playing these ....which totally defeats the purpose.
