Putting with GCQuad

Hi, I am noticing the Quad missing reading puts. It has yet to miss reading any other shots including some very short chips. Curious if this is an issue with the Quad or with my set-up somehow. Thoughts on what I should be checking or verifying? Is it normal for the "Ball zone" to be further back from the screen? My normal hitting position shows the ball centered in the hitting zone, but when it moves to putting the ball needs to be further away from the screen on the same line (if that makes any sense).

It's probably seeing your white shoes...just a guess. Or are they reflective?

If you have putting essentials enabled, purple light, the putting area is much small and is in the center. So, yes this could appear to be further back if you typically play it forward. Could be your shoes as well as Baller mentioned. I have a pair of ecco's that reek havok on short shots.

So, I almost never get misreads with FSX but noticed I was getting them frequently with TGC...which doesn’t make a lot of sense.

My solution - I have HMT activated so the RH corner of the hitting area is cut off. I put the ball a couple of inches in from the sloped corner, just above the centre line of the hitting area. My thinking is give the GCQ max distance to read the ball.

I also run my foot over the ball to initialise the read just before every put.

Seems to work well when I follow that routine.

White shoes - is that a thing? My shoes are indeed white - I guess I can try with a darker pair. I do get the purple light when I am on a green (though I do not have the putting module). I don't mind the new placement further back, just trying to ensure it os not the reason for the miss-reads ….. white shoes huh?

I have black shoes with a white trim, but it happens even when I play in barefoot too.

I also get the occasional bogus shot where the ball just randomly goes about 10ft perpendicular to the target line when I’m setting up. Random glitch but I guess the something triggers it.
