  • GC2 with old F Version Flash

    Hi all,
    Newbie here!

ive bought a used GC2 Seeial No 4919A. It has the old F model flash in it. As far as I can see it works perfectly.
should I be upgrading to the Super flash? Is there any benefits other than lifespan?
I’ve also got TGC2019 which is great 👌🏻. I wish I could afford the FSX2020 but that will have to wait. Is there anything else I should be looking at or am missing out on?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Rob

If it works don't replace it. I ran into a guy that said he's used that flash for years and it's perfect.

If you had a GC2 with the HMT club data then it might be worth buying FSX, but TGC has practice facilities (or you can build one), you’ve got the screen on your GC2 and you can always use the FSX fitting app for more data.

Thanks for the advice.....Build my own practice facility? now that appeals to me.
I'd like to have a selection of greens at different distances.......could i do something like this? Would it take me forever though? haha

RobGC2 very doable in TGC and only takes as long as watching a few tutorials and the detail you want to put in

I have also just purchased a used GC2 on this forum, Sending it to Foresight for a full service - £150+VAT which I thought was very reasonable considering the cost of the unit.

Thanks for the info, it has a full service in February this year. That's where the advised i upgraded the flash to a super flash......not sure if its just to line their pockets or benefit me?

Don't eschange if it doesn't need it! I'm literally using the same flash my GC2 was shipped with 2011. Some of those old US built ones just keep going and going...
