    USB option for TGC/GC2?

No matter what I do or how many bluetooth dongles I buy, I cannot get my GC2 to stay connected to my computer for more than a couple of holes. This happens when I use my bluetooth connection in FSX as well. Using USB however in FSX I have no issues whatsoever.

Is there an option out there to connect GSX (or if something else I'm not aware of exists?) to my GC2 via USB so that I can play TGC without all the BT dropouts?

    Thanks!

Do you have the Bluetooth dongle on an extension USB cable? If not, try that and put it right next to the GC2.

You know, Ive thought about that too. My son tripped over my usb cable and pulled the connection out such that I will need to send it in to get fixed. I bought a Bluetooth adapter and using that. It has a few glitches from time to time but not too bad. I will send it in when I have a week where I wont use it (if ever) but until then it is an inferior connection. I was wondering why the port settings just cant be made inside the gsx for the usb just like the bloototh but will have to wait until I fix it to see. Curious though.

1 of 2 issues. Either it’s the settings in your pc or the distance of the dongle. Some guys are a foot using a cable. A lot of guys have had dropping issues mostly with windows 10. All were resolved. Some changed the security settings and some added a VPN. You can search and find it.

Couple of holes. Humm That sounds like a Windows power management issue to me. Would take you 5 minutes a hole approximately. I'd check the power management settings in Windows and remove the PC bluetooth from it.

Thanks. Probably the settings then. I have the dongle 2 inches from the GC2 with a usb extension cable. Windows 10 is such a pain.

The guides were pretty helpful in installing a VPN and changing the security/power settings for Bluetooth. I now have no issues connecting bluetooth with FSX. It connects right away and stays connected for hours.

However, then I couldn’t get GSX to connect no matter what I did. Doesn't matter how many times I restart pc/GC2, or in what order.

When I went to verify the COM port to make sure something didn’t change, the GC2 was not in the list of devices showing incoming or outgoing ports. Uninstall/pair the GC2 and... have TGC going for hours now with no disconnect. I’m going to leave it on overnight and see if I can still start hitting shots in the morning without having to reconnect. I’ll consider the issue completely resolved if that’s the case!

windows 10 SUCKS for SIM’s but I feel like I finally have it fixed.
