What a humbling experience (Pebble Beach)

Played it on FSX for the first time yesterday. She is pretty to look at but man she is mean. Besides hole 14, are the greens that severe in real life? I had so many putts and chips that got away from me. In comparison, Oakmont was a cake walk compared to Pebble.

Having said that, can't wait to get my rematch later tonight.

Had the privilege of playing Pebble a few years ago. I found the greens quite manageable and putted very well but that was largely due to having a great caddy who worked 300+ rounds a year and knew every green inside and out. Without him I might still be there—I do recall them playing fairly fast.

Unbelievably beautiful setting. I have not played on TGC but plan to to see how it holds up.

It all depends when you play it in real life. Most of the time, the greens are not that fast at Pebble. The killer greens are 15 and 8 but other than that, not really. Spyglass on the other hand is always very fast and much much more difficult than Pebble in real life.

They are also the smallest greens on the PGA Tour. I did not play well there, played much better at Spyglass the next day.

Greens on FSX Pebble are small and slopey, as in real life. But it's playable. There are other FSX courses much harder (Valderrama for example). PB is overall my fave.
