GC2 and Creative Golf

I would guess your a little confused on witch way to go for software right about now everyone keeps suggesting ProTee (those rascals)? Just go for the Ipad app it was a lot cheaper then your $60 SW purchase, then you can play around a little until you get up to speed on what you would like to do for simulation. What did you pay for your CG2? The sim SW is not going to be cheap, but one package out shines the other that is for sure. Do you have a CG2 or CG2A ?

I have a GC2A that was used by a pro that recently upgraded to Trackman. He is a long time friend who gave me a deal that I could not turn down. I won't comment on exactly what I paid however I will say I am impressed with it's simplicity and accuracy! Absolutely love dialing in those spin rates with the wedges, spin to win! haha

My problem I was having was solved simply by using a USB hub so if you find yourself if my previous predicament give that a try.

Big fan of the HB's The Golf Club so that would be cool to play, I am not trying to start a flame war about which software is the best value but what I am trying to say is $2000 is a lot of real golf I could be playing. I'm sure some of you get the wtf response when you disclose how much you have invested in your set up, especially being that some people don't appreciate indoor golf like others do.

Is there any chance of Foresight shutting down GC2 owners from using Protee? From what I have been reading this software isn't exactly indorsed by Foresight.

To close, the Creative Golf Software demo does get old quick but if you select 8 players it's not so bad. Could keep you entertained for a while considering im not sure there is any cost effective way of seeing a visual of your ball flight. Otherwise the GC2 app works well if your not ready to invest thousands.

DG, great question about Foresight shutting down GC2 from ProTee. There have been several firmware upgrades since the GC2 started working with ProTee with no blocks. If they do block at some point, you'd just need to remain on the last working firmware. ProTee with TGC will sell some GC2s so perhaps they'll let it be. My concern is that FS is simply waiting until they finally finish their FSX software before thinking about shutting the ProTee connection down. All that said, GC2 with TGC is a big winner, and since that requires ProTee, that's probably why you sense some frustration from others when questioning the purchase. It's one of those things that if you have it, you know others will absolutely love it too. Now, if you're just plain not into playing virtual golf on the simulator or you live in a warmer climate where winter golf is doable, then the $2Gs may not be a great idea regardless of software. The fact is that as an unbiased GC2 owner, I can tell you that if you enjoy playing virtual golf, ProTee with the TGC is the way to go. If you're just content with the driving range to check stats and dial in distance with an occasional round of golf on the sim, then go FS. The FS driving range is way better than ProTee's is in my opinion.

I'm having trouble getting the Creative Golf demo to connect to the GC2. I have tried removing the blue tooth connector from my computer, and connecting via USB, but it still won't connect. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
