    Colonial CC on sale

Have had my eye on Colonial for a while now, got an email saying it was on sale for $75 so bought it this morning.

Fun course to play, has some well positioned dog legs and bunkers to where you will run out of fairway if you can't draw or fade the ball.

Look forward to playing it again.

Looks like only for the US. No such deal on Foresight EU.

Seems like a good track for people who want to work on moving the ball in both directions. $75 is not bad -- I think the best you will get is something like $60/course on a multi-course buy and I have not seen that for awhile. So probably a decent deal. Other course reviews?

Did anybody else who purchased this course get an activation email with a redeemable code in it? I have not seen that with my other course purchases before. Wondering if it's new (if so that would be great!)

        Yes it's new I think.
The latest version of FSX2020 (updated a few days ago) has a new feature to enter the code into the course list screen.

I bought and played it. Not bad. Played from the blue tees (second from the tips) and most of the dog legs were out of my reach. Many holes with fairway bunkers at 250+ out. So I did not find that I had to move the ball or go through the fairway. Some good holes but not really that memorable overall.

I would put Merion, a somewhat similar style of course, way ahead. Colonial is closer to Aronimink. Of those two I probably prefer Colonial but kind of dull IMO.

I bought it over the weekend, its a fun course. I can't hit anything longer than a 5Hybrid (ceiling is only 9'). So it works out really well for me and makes it pretty challenging.
