Hey guys, I know it's old and not supported anymore, but I was wondering if anybody has come across this issue. When I have the mini map on, it works fine on the first hole, but after that it shows the same first hole map for every hole. Once construction is done on my new house I'll probably be upgrading to FSX 2020, but in the meantime I'm limited to a laptop and net outdoors. The internet isn't great out there so I don't want to upgrade until I have a more permanent setup. Anyway, has anybody seen this issue and know of any way to fix it? Thanks

It is not normal. If it happens on all your courses there is some data corruption in your software. If you can just reload everything. The latest and last software for FR1 was 1.3. -
Yeah I'll mess around with it. I've been testing it on my high end gaming PC to eliminate the variable that my laptop is under powered. I noticed that the courses with a smaller file size seem to work ok, which is weird. Could just be a coincidence. Problem is if the course files are corrupt there's not much I can do as they're not available anywhere for replacement.Comment

So after messing around with this a lot I've noticed a couple of things. I checked the log file after opening various courses and I've noticed I seem to be missing some components like textures and sounds. Here is an example of some errors:

I also noticed that the log file says my total physical RAM is only 2GB. My computer has 16GB RAM and my video card is an RTX 2070 with 8GB. I tried running the program in compatibility mode just for the hell of it and then it think I only have 1GB. I've noticed the map issue on the larger file size courses, so I think this could be part of the issue. Does anybody know of a way to force the program to see more RAM? It seems to grab all of the other specs OK including the processor speed and drive space.
I know it's old software so I might just have to live with it, but my OCD wants to get it working, haha. Does anybody know how courses on this software were initially installed? Were there actual course packages that were installed through a program or were they just files copied over? Anyway, if anybody knows anything about this stuff I'd appreciate the info.
