  • FSX2020 Swing Camera Issue

Is there anyway i can get the video to start recording sooner in FSX? All of my recordings start with the club between knee and hip height. I would like to be able to start at address if possible. I'm using the OV2710 camera and it's plugged into a dedicated USB 3.0 PCI express card. I didn't see anything in the settings and google hasn't lead me anywhere.

Same cameras, I noticed when room lighting is brighter it captures more of the swing.

You think it's missing some of the beginning of the swing then? I was just texting with another member and he said to give the usb cable a try vs going over BT. He believes it will fix it. I'm off to look for the usb cable that came with it.

OK folks, here's the solution. With help from another member Stingreye , the issue is when the GC2 is connected via BT. If you connect the GC2 with the USB cable, you get the swing video from address. Problem solved.

Unrelated but related question. How is the OV2710 camera in low light situations? My personal experiences is that the higher the frame rate, the poorer the resolution (very grainy). I'm interested in getting a camera setup going but not sure what options makes the most sense.

I only just got them and haven’t used it a ton and haven’t run them in low light. They are $50 cameras so I think expectations should be reflective of that. I am very impressed with the quality of the video, I can make out everything very clearly, there is certainly some shaft blur, but it’s not bad. I have an online lesson scheduled for Tuesday so we will see how it goes there.

Thanks. I'll keep my expectations low if I go the same route

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they are bad at all. I couldn’t see myself paying a ton more to get a clearer picture with no blur, but I hear the global shutter style may be a bit better for about double the cost. Problem was they were coming from China and I’m not that patient, it was like 2 months for shipping.
        Working...
