GC2 + TGC 2019 over USB?

I haven't seen this explicitly covered here, but I was trying to understand if I can use the GC2 connected via USB instead of bluetooth. I have it hardwired for FSX2020 and wasn't able to get it to recognize with GSX/ProTee interface, so I connected via the built in BT and it was able to connect just fine following the instruction in the sticky posts to get it all set up. I can leave it set up like that and connect via BT for FSX, but I found the hard-wired connection of FSX works better and prefer to hard-wire.

Any help is appreciated!

TGC uses Bluetooth only on the GC2 as it is not encrypted, USB is.
I use both fine over BT using an extender that sits a foot from GC2 no performance issues.

Thank you sir, makes sense. I got a dongle and usb extension cord so will get that set-up and see how it goes, its not the worst thing in the world if I need to plug in for FSX, just was wonky the first time I tried it but haven't tried the dongle approach to get it as close to the GC2 as possible

Thanks! I have been using a bluetooth dongle sitting a foot or so from the GC2 and its been working great in both FSX 2020 and TGC. The only thing that I have noticed is that the GC2 doesn't auto-connect in FSX. Despite clicking the option to 'autoconnect', I have to bring up devices and let it find the GC2 and then connect it manually. It's not too bad, considering I boot up my computer, turn on all my screens - whats one more thing . Would love to know if others experience the same.
