    FSX 2020 & GC2 Numbers don’t match?

I have been hitting the range a lot on my GC2 and FSX 2020 and have noticed that the numbers don’t match up, especially for carry. The spin numbers, launch angle and ball speed are usually identical, though I have seen spin numbers slightly vary sometimes. For instance, I will see 90 yards carry on the GC2 and 98 yards carry on the FSX 2020 range data and 105 yard total distance.

Is this taking into account weather settings, etc?

The only thing I can imagine is if you altered anything within FSX2020, e.g. using Real-time weather and/or elevation setting, etc. GC2 always spits out sea level data.

I did turn on real-time weather and not sure I noticed it before that. I will try turning that off and see if it then matches back up. Thanks for the advice!

Ok, so I turned off real-time data, but while I was in there, I turned on Premium Ball instead of standard and now my yardages are even more different! It will show up as 140 carry on the GC2 and 160+ carry on FSX 2020. Is that to be expected?

It shows as 0" Elev on the Foresight range. I will try to take a pic of my settings prior to a session and then of the GC2 and the shot display

I turned off Premium ball and went back to standard and ensured all the settings were the defaults and everything seems back to normal now. One thing that I noticed was that my battery on GC2 was about to die (and did die when trying to test it), could that have caused the issue? When I put the ball back on premium, nothing really changes, lol.

By the way, what is the difference between premium and standard balls?

The premium and standard ball does not change anything. According to Foresight as I asked this question it was more of an identifier when doing a fitting if it was a range ball or a real ball. It does not reflect in the numbers at all.
