    GCQ Putting Club Data

SIAP, but I’ve looked all over for a solution to this issue and haven’t been able to find anything on the subject. I just received a new GCQuad and have the 30 day trial of the putting analysis on the unit. I’m very interested in the putting analysis, but I can’t seem to get my club data to read consistently. I’m a lefty, using a Navy Spider X and I have the 3 dots on the putter face. See the attached picture for reference. Also, I know it does work, because I can get it to read sometimes, but probably 90% of the time I only get ball data when putting. No issue with club data on full swing stuff. I’ve tried placing the ball right in the center of the hitting area, but that hasn’t made a difference. I’m hoping the white face isn’t the problem, but I’m curious if anyone else has had this issue. Any help or advice would be appreciated. If anyone has any suggestions on how they use the putting analysis within the FSX software, that would be helpful as well. Thanks

Did you try another putter to see if it makes a difference?

I have the same putter and haven't noticed any issues when using it. What firmware are you on? You might try closing the quad to the line and then calibrate to the aim stick. this will face club cameras more towards the putter face.

Thanks for the tip, mmlincon, I’m going to try that and I’ll report back if it works. As for trying another putter, I gave that a go last night after seeing your comment, soupy. The only reason I had not tried one of my old backup putters already is because they both have white faces as well (Odyssey 2 ball). Anyway, the 2 ball putter worked flawlessly. Just got to figure out how to get my gamer to work

Make sure there is no direct sunlight shining towards the Quad. I found this affected the putting significantly. Once I put the shades up the mis-reads went away completely.
