After Ricky Fowler and Dechambeau, photos came out to show that Rory and Phil also use GCQuad in driving range. Good for Foresight Sports! Does anyone know what data parameters these pro are looking for when they use GCQuad rather than TrackMan? Obviously they all have TrackMan and had been using TrackMan on the range; so I suppose there must be some specific data parameters that GCQuad provides better than TrackMan can, even outdoors. Does anyone have specific information on this? Thanks.

Launch monitors are essential for pro practice. I imagine they use the units for ball/club data with drivers etc. The big thing will be wedge distances to really dial in the short game. Also putting practice with the quad. My son is a high level D1 golfer and we use the GC2 for wedge distancing/gapping and it makes a world of difference.

This makes sense. TrackMan normalization is not as reliable, as I gathered from multiple sources. I think TrackMan should allow using Indoors Mode outdoors.Originally posted by bubbtubbs View PostUsually they use a combination of GCQ for normalized data (no elevation/temperature changes) and TM for measured ball flight data.

I think others have said something similar, but I would expect they're using the GCQ for 'flat carry-no wind' numbers to compare with actual, 'on the day' weather effected Trackman ball flight numbers so they can calibrate their carry/temperature/wind calculations for out on the course
Or maybe they're just tech junkies like the rest of us, but they've got money to burn
