    Camera analytics for GCQuad?

Does the GCQuad have the ability to hook up some highspeed usb cameras to see your own swing and draw lines/circles, etc.?

Something along the lines of the new Swing Optix cameras for the Uneekor?

Just wondering whether to buy the GCQuad.

    Thx.

You can connect a swing cam and capture this in FSX, don’t think you can analyse with drawing lines etc, someone else will know more.

You can draw lines and use circles in FSX.

i use the following camera for both Face on and DTL and they work very well with FSX and as mentioned above you can draw on the video. You get some shaft blur, but you can easily make out the swing and the shaft to analyze your swing. I've used these cameras for online lesson with shankygolf and it worked great.

Hey wbond - I have this same camera (the $55) one and it is super grainy though. Do you have the more expensive one or any advise on all the settings you can tweak to get it to look better? I think one of my issues is spotlighting, I don't have a focus light on myself when I swing - I am going to try to put a spot light that shines down on the golfer and hopefully that helps!

mitchbeerwatch when I’m practicing I have an led spotlight as well as two overhead led shop lights on. I select 1920/1080 in the camera settings as I didn’t see much difference from the 720, the frame rate is different but I see plenty on what I’m looking for.

Thanks wbond . That's really helpful. It would be nice if they expanded this feature for side by side Face on and DTL at the same time. But glad it's there.

Yeah, their software is not the greatest, has a lot of room for improvement for sure. Like showing both videos on playback vs just camera 1 and actually being able to step backward frame by frame is a big miss as well.

I'm using a small device called LiveViewGolf and it is awesome for swing analytics. The software (iPad) is great and keeps getting improved. About $400.

Imaging Source DFK37BUX273 works great, it is in color and works well in low light at 120-160 fps (in my lighting). I paired it with Fujifilm DV3.4x3.8SA-1 lens which works great to get the whole swing in view. Works out of box after installing imaging source driver which you get from their website. The camera then appears in FSX with no additional fuss.

FSX allows you to display both camera feeds at same time where the minimap is. In the video playback section you can flip between camera views 1 and 2 and put in lines etc...very useful for practice

How far away do you need to be with this setup to get the full swing? Is there a lot of shaft blur?
            Working...
