  • Value of GC2 and HMT

I am considering upgrading to GC Quad. I would sell my GC2 and HMT. I have the plastic protective cover and a spare super flash. I am in the US what is the going rate now a days for a used unit. It is in excellent condition. Been inside its whole life on a simulator.

Serial number above 11,000 probably $4000-$4500 for the HMT and $4500-$5000 for the GC2. If you have FSX2020 you could likely sell the whole package for around $10k-$11k, but you probably don't want to get rid of FSX if you're going with the Quad.

I'm potentially in the market for a GC2+HMT (trying to decide between it and the Quad -- but not sure I can stomach the price for the Quad). I'm curious what the significance of the serial number you mention is, cmckelvmi ?

Also, Detroit Bill if you get serious about it, please PM me. I'm kind of waiting to see what Foresight does for Black Friday this year, but if you do decide to sell may be interested.

enigmamatt The higher the serial number the newer the GC2. I think the newest models are high 14k to low 15k. There's a caveat to this though with CPO units and what upgrades Foresight installs. If you have a GC2 with a serial number of 2501 and it isn't an A model that gets sent to Foresight they might upgrade it to now be BT compatible for iPad/iPhone. The driver and flash boards could've also been replaced leaving you basically a newish GC2.

Why are you referring to the #2501? That device is sacred.

I don't think that is correct. My GC2 serial number is A74XX and it connects to bluetooth?

My statement is absolutely correct. The sacred ( Wizard of Coz ) GC2 with serial number #2501 isn't an A model and isn't BT compatible. However, if #2501 was sent in to Foresight for repairs they could upgrade it to have BT. Detroit Bill

I think by BT compatible you are referring to Apple compatible Bluetooth. All GC2s have Bluetooth that can connect to a PC. But older ones can not connect to an iPad or iPhone.

I used that 2501 Bluetooth connection for sim. It really needs to go to the sim hall of fame Raayz
