  • Way Too Many 1 Dot Readings

When I first purchased my GC2/HMT (Refurbished HMT from Foreesight member here GC2) seems like almost every shot read perfectly. It's been a couple years now and the number of 1 Dot and some missed reads have gone way up. If I use brand new Foresight dots it's much better, but the smallest imperfection and shots do not report well.

Is my Flash going bad ????? And I hope it's the one on the GC2, since I can replace here and not the HMT.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Just checked my old threads.......i posted a similar question a while ago.........

new dots do help....but seems like it's getting pickier and picker about having perfect dots.

I have GCQ rather than HMT, but for me it's just an issue of the quality of the fiducials. All four have to be just about perfect to get reliable 4-dot data. On woods my dots seem to last almost forever, but on irons they break down pretty fast, particularly the middle one on the toe side. Guess that says more about my ball striking than the dot quality...

I agree....... Just seems to be a progressive thing.

When I used the same set of clubs inside and out. Never really had an issue until a dot fell off. (Foresight dots are amazingly resilient!) I now use the set exclusively inside and it seems to be more and more of an issue.

I will also admit, "quality of the fiducials" sent me to Google.........

My first thought was "Money" second was "criminal activity"............. then I thought.....

What Foresight charges for these dots really is criminal !! LOL

Some dots are better than others. Assuming you have good ones it doesn't take much to kill one. A ball off the toe or dirt and donzo. You can usually replace one dots and try again.

Its probably your HMT Led Array. I had to send mine in last year to be repaired after about 2 years of having it. Exactly like yours, I started getting more and more 1 dot readings.
I was told that if you don't have stickers on your clubs then disconnect the HMT so as to not use the Led array to prolong.

Thanks to all who replied !!

I think I'll try the new dots again and see how that works.

If that doesn't cut it and I have to send in the HMT, any ideas on cost ??

Make sure that you are hitting the ball not too close to the “boundary.” I find if I hit near the edge it won’t read all of the data. Also make sure lighting is good.
