Thanks all. The frame is different from the prior videos and instructions I had seen. Same basic structure, but now the majority of it is welded and the pieces connect with simple hex screws. My 8-year-old and I put it together in an hour, and that included putting felt pads on the bottom and carrying the parts upstairs.
The nook we identified for it is JUST big enough. I have 10 inches on either side and less than an inch on top. They were smart to make the frame 8’11” tall so it would clear under 9’ ceiling. I’ll post a pic later. Will be fun getting the top fabric on!
I did some test swings to make sure I could swing driver in the room before starting seems ok even though I’m 6’2”.
The projector is still the Eiki 308u previously mentioned, and the PC is the HP gaming desktop with i5 processor haven’t checked the graphics card yet, and they include a Logitech wireless keyboard with trackpad. Was hoping the Quad would come with the backpack I have seen but it did not. Maybe I’ll do a Pelican case.Last edited by SCDrJ; 12-08-2020, 08:53 PM.

Congrats and let the games begin. At 6’2 with a 9 foot ceiling you will be tight for your driver. What I typically do is choke down on the driver a little as if I don’t I find myself flattening my swim and follow through as AJ have the ceiling in the back of my head. I am just under 6’ tall and my ceiling is right around 9 feet after factoring in my the height of my mat. All other clubs have no issues from my point of view.

How far do you guys stand from the screen? The rolls of basic turf are each 5 ft wide which puts my hitting area maybe 12 feet from the screen... wondering if I can overlap the Fiberbuilt over the basic turf to get a little closer, trying to still have a couch behind the sim... not to sit on when someone is swinging but for movies etc.

I also wanted a little extra room behind people hitting. I also pulled the turf 1 foot behind the screen to the back support bar. Then I also cut and removed some turf to inset it and move it a little closer. Im 10' from middle of turf to screen. You can see in photo. Also I like being closer so I can hit really high shots and don't have to add any extra side protection for my kids or bad friends.

Thanks. This is pretty much what I was envisioning. If I’m reading this right, your landing turf would normally end 9 feet from screen (10 feet from wall) but you cut into it about a foot and moved the Fiberbuilt mat up about a foot?Last edited by SCDrJ; 12-09-2020, 12:06 AM.

Got the enclosure all finished last night... Turns out it's hard to slide that top piece on when your ceiling is only an inch higher than the enclosure!!
I had to take the front crossbar down and lay the fabric over it, re-install and then shimmy the edges in from there. The rest of it was cake but man that was hard.

Nick, how far from the screen is your ceiling mounted projector? Any shadows?Originally posted by nfear24 View PostI also wanted a little extra room behind people hitting. Got it up and running! In the middle of some renovations so furniture is blocking full implementation for a while but we will be able to play!1 PhotoLast edited by SCDrJ; 12-12-2020, 02:38 AM.

Looking good. Wow that is a tight fit to the ceiling. That would of been tough to get the top on like you said. Not sure if all the lights are connected to the same switch in your room, but what I did since I didn't want to re wire some of mine I put 2 smart bulbs in the lights right above the screen like yours so I could dim them or turn them off with my phone and leave the rest on.

Got mine yesterday. Took about 3-4 hrs to set up. It’s a pain to get the top cover on if you have just 9’ ceiling! Overall pleased with sim in a box and the GC quad is quite accurate for my lousy swing.1 PhotoLast edited by Michael Chen; 12-12-2020, 02:43 PM.

Hey guys, new to the forum but have been lurking here for months. Could someone post what was all included (details) in the package from costco? Id love to know the price as well after discount, as Im trying to compare what it is vs the current golftec discount ( possibly use this to see if I can improve it). If I remember correctly there was something different about the costco offering s the regular offering to begin with. If i'm out of line with this post please disregard, just trying to get all the info I can before I purchase one. Cheers guys, great buys btw. Cant wait to get one.

See third comment to this post as I think that gives a pretty good idea of what is included. There are other discussions on the software side. I think all that is missing is impact location and putting ad on. Other than that I believe it is a complete package with all that you will need (apart from balls, clubs and tees).

The only difference to what foresight sells and the Costco package is the 4K club data add on. I also think you get a few more courses in the Costco pacakage. Check out the eagle plus package as that is what this is minus the club data which you can add at anytime
