    Too much distance

    Hi all, I’ve been following the forum very closely and noticed that the usual suspects involving gc2 would be lack of distance or spin or both but in my case I’m getting ridiculous numbers from my clubs. Attached is my 7 iron and driver distance. I’m by no means a long hitter but my gc2 is making me feel like DJ or Rory at the moment lol.

    Has anyone experienced such problems and will the tilt calibration + firmware downgrade help? My GC2 serial number is A3xxx. Any help is very much appreciated thanks!

          Yes agreed, the numbers match up but not to my swing as I don’t have the capacity to hit such distances.

          Maybe abit of history I recently had my GC2 sent abroad to have the flash control board fixed. Would never be able hit my 7 iron past 170 yards or my driver above 260 yards but now I’m getting tour distances without too much effort. Even fat shots produce close to pure strike distances.

          Tried downgrading the firmware and tilt calibrating but with little success. Just wondering if anyone on the forum can empathise with me on this problem. Thanks again!

              Just wanted to contribute to the forum some discovery I had with my GC2. Firstly thanks to mthunt and ronsc1985 for providing me the tilt calibration software. While fiddling with the calibration I found out that if I calibrated the gc2 at an inclined slope where the right side is higher, I would basically get a higher ball flight and lower distance. Same with calibrating on an incline where the left is higher I would get lower ball flight and lower distance too, depending on severity of slope.
              I further discovered after calibration if I sloped my gc2 while hitting balls it would auto calibrate and figure out it’s sloped, and still give me the same readings as if when it was flushed on the ground.
              While all this is didn’t help me ultimately fix why my gc2 is churning such high ball speeds, it did help normalise my distances albeit a higher/lower ball flight. Still figuring out how to mesh everything to finally calibrate my gc2 back to normal.

              just thought I’d share my insights on the calibration process. Also it works for higher series gc2 as mine is A3xxx. Thanks.
