    Bluetooth vs Wifi QCQ

    Hi-

    New quad owner.

While reading the manual it appears QCQ can connect to PC via Bluetooth vs Wifi?

I presently have 2nd wifi adapter in PC working. Any pros/cons using BT? External wifi adapter works but is a nusance to take on/off as we have outside setup and take PC inside when done.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

you could also use the USB connection which is much more stable than wifi

Congratulations on the new Quad and welcome to the family.

I used WiFi and had a second wifi adapter also hooked up. My pain was that the WiFi would require me to manually connect each time I rebooted the PC. This became annoying pretty quick. I would also randomly lose connection between FSX and the GCQuad requiring me to reconnect. I've since switched to a wired Cat6 cable and it's been stable ever since. I'm sure USB would work too but I prefer the perceived speed of ethernet over USB. Getting a long USB cable was my primary problem.

I have used wifi and USB, with occasional drop-offs in both. Changed to the ethernet cable and it has been rock-solid since.

I use a very small USB wifi dongle (0,5 cm). Never had any connection issues and when I boot Windows, it automatically connects with the Quad.
