GC Quad- FSX 2020 doesn't register shots... but TGC 2019 does?

Weird glitch I encountered last night, wanted to bounce it off you guys before scheduling something with Foresight.

I bought a new PC a couple weeks ago, and transferred all my licenses. I was playing some TGC 2019 with my wife but the course we selected wasn't working out, and I decided that since I hadn't played FSX 2020 in a while, it was a good time to boot it up. Oddly, my shots didn't register. I made sure that GQSX and Protee were closed, under the assumption that their hijack of the signal might be causing the issue, but no avail. I rebooted my PC, still no shot. FSX finds the GCQ fine, it just doesn't show the strike zone when I move the ball and it doesn't register the shot.

Rebooting the PC didn't help. TGC 2019 still works fine. I'm not sure if I've actually tried FSX on this new PC, in hindsight.

Does anyone have any insight on this issue?

Did you try rebooting the Quad too? I recently transferred all my licenses to my new pc as well, but did not experience any issues like this. (I did the TGC2019 transfer last after successfully playing E6 and FSX 2020 on the new machine.)

I tried again a couple days later on a fresh boot of both the GCQ and the PC and it registered, so that may have been it.

Maybe you still had the interface program open for TGC and it was interfering, but that's just a guess.

Have you ran into this again? Mine keeps doing this religiously - works on quad screen and tgc just wont register in fsx. but I have green light and connected status in fsx.

Don't tell Foresight you have TGC. They'll use it as an excuse to not help you. It has nothing to do with TGC

It probably does have something to do with TGC though. Maybe the utility is running and shouldn't be at the same time? Just a thought. It would make sense. It's not the Quad and it's not FSX, so it's somewhere in between. Maybe try a different connection type?

Thanks guys I'll make sure not to. Going to try running fsx alone on a dry reboot. I'm even having problems with the wifi dropping off now in tgc/gsx but that take 2 seconds to fix.

This happens to me often. Have you tried closing out FSX, then going right back in. Fixes mine every time. Don’t fully restart, just close out FSX and go right back in.
