Question about FSX vs no FSX

I am looking into buying a GC2 for my already built setup at home...

Question - if you just buy the system and not FSX2020 what will the GC2 display on the big screen? Or is the FSX needed in order to translate & display your shots, data, etc on the big screen?

Gc2 and the free app - get all the data it captures. The screen on its own is ok to but doesn’t show how many yds you are offline.
