Used GC2 Question

While I am not yet in the market for a used GC2, if a used GC2 (without the HMT) is purchased from a board member without FSX2020, can it still be used with TGC2019 only? I thought I read somewhere recently that even between two private sellers, Foresight is now requiring FSX2020 to be purchased? I assume they would require this if you contact them to transfer ownership?

And is the transfer fee $500, vs. the Quad being $1000?

You can use TGC2019 without owning fsx2020
GC2 is a launch monitor showing you data internally or transferring data to software (tgc, FSX, iPad app..etc)
