switching between play shot and practice mode while in a game in FSX 2020

When setting up a new round I enable the practice mode. While in the game if I choose practice I can make practice shots but can't for the life of me figure out how to switch back so I can take my shot. I know it has to be there but can anyone help me with this? I am new to FSX and it shows!

Hit the "P" on the keyboard to go back and forth

There is also an X under the shot data that comes up on the left side of the screen in practice mode, just click on that.

Yeah, I mean, hitting a "P" key for Practice... So unintuitive.
