Paid Leagues Coming?

If you log in then go to Leagues -> Explore, there is a drop down option for Paid leagues. Maybe I missed the news about this but its new to me. Has anyone heard about this?

Depending on price, I'd pay for more league action. They need to increase the number of contest too. When its a 9 or just all the par 3s its so damn addicting to play and feel the pressure of a good score on the line.
