Spin Numbers Making my GC2 Irrelavant - Help

After practicing on my GC2 for a couple thousand shots, I played outside this weekend and was surprised that all of my distances were 20+ yards short of my shots on the GC2. I'm assuming it comes from the unit under reading spin. I know there is a "mat effect" but it can't be this drastic can it?

I just hit my 34* 7 iron off of my Fiberbuilt mat. Below is a typical reading:

    107mph ball speed
    25.4* launch angle
    2.2L Pull
    4L Side spin
    2774 back spin
    164 yard carry

How can that spin be so low? Any suggestions?

That spin is way too low. You should be around 5.5-6k off a mat depending upon iron model. I would first really clean and scrape the grooves, it may look clean, but you may be surprised. Second, use a brand new premium ball and see if you get a difference in reading. 20yds is not a lot with a high launch low spin.

Cleaning the clubs is a good idea as suggested, I find that if you don't do that you start to get flyers after having hit inside for a while.

I would suggest swapping the flash if u have spare, it might be flash going to die and it reads spin low or error. Happens to me before
