Hello - I am new here and hope this [post is in the right location
I am going to get a Foresight Sports Sim in a Box package. My room is going to require me to modify the frame slightly. There is no issue with the front width or height, but the back side of the vertical structure needs to be lowered to 95" - meaning a 12" drop from out of the box.
My plan was to cut the vertical bars by 12" in the back to lower that. For the upper back to front bar, I can use an angle bracket to attach that channel to the front upright. The stock attachment bracket would be maintained - otherwise I would have to cut it in half.
I want to know what the frame structure is made out of, so that I can buy new pieces so I can save the original ones.
Yes I understand I need to modify the attachment of the screen and the black outer material.
Does anyone know what the channel tube frame material is so I can possibly make modified parts for my room? Also if anyone has suggestions for making this happen, I would appreciate it.
Edit: I found the assembly manual and apparently many of those bars are carbon fiber, so I think my plan will be to just cut them to fit what I need to fit in the space. I will try and take assembly/modification pictures, along with the finished product - we semi finished - I think it will be a long journey to dial everything in with lighting, sound, video...
Thanks!
Andy
